Edward Leroy Brown, Jr., age 70 of Sonora passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021.
Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Barksdale Cemetery, and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Memorial Park by the Sonora swimming pool. (Bring lawn chairs)
Leroy was born August 7, 1950 in Carrizo Spring, Tx. to Edward L. Brown, Sr. and Melba Jean Brown.
He lived in Sonora forever, worked in the oilfield as a truck driver, and his favorite jobs were pulling units, swab units, hauling propane, and working with horses and ranch work.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly Brown, brother Robert Charles Brown and wife Debbie and family, brother-in-law Bill Breeding and wife Rachel and family, nephews Garry Reagan and wife Dawn and family, William Hicks and wife Becky and family, cousins Julie Sue, Pam, Tommy, Dennis and Debbie, hundreds of friends in Sonora and the surrounding area, and to their kids he was Uncle Leroy.
Family and friends that cannot attend in Barksdale, please come to the memorial service at the Park, bring a dish if desired, and let's celebrate Leroy's life and not be sad that he is gone.
