Mary Savannah Fort Mayfield passed September 7, 2018 in New Braunfels, Texas.

She was born April 9, 1921 to William and Genie Fort.

She married Jake Mayfield in 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, husband and two grandsons Woodrow Wilson Mayfield and Robert Scott Mayfield, Jr.

She is survived by her children Johnny and Jene Mayfield, W. T. Mayfield, Terry and Grace Mayfield Brooks, Scott and Pamela Mayfield.

She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren are Savannah and Bill Roberson (Caleb and Liam) Lee Mayfield, Margaret Bryant, Shara and Pedro Castro, Selah Price, Marla and Andy Brown (Garrett, Cody, Dylan, Keira) Travis and Victoria Mayfield (Isabel, John Carter, Evelyn), John and Jacque Runge (Carter, Presley, Jack, Paul) Mitzi Hardeman, Evan and Leslie Saenger.

Savannah was artistic, musically inclined, an avid reader and bridge player.

She was affectionately called “Brown Eyed Beauty” by her husband Jake.

Her grandchildren called her “Darlin” and Memom.

Savannah loved staying out at the ranch in Juno and Mexico.

She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Memorial Services will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels with a reception to follow at the church hall.
