Sonora City Hall was the happening place to be Monday, April 15, 2024, as numerous citizens flooded the chambers. Although several people were there, only four individuals actually signed in to speak their minds on a proposed holding facility for illegal immigrants.

Cheryl Emfinger Lock went to be with her Savior on Sunday, April 28th, 2024. She was born on January 13th, 1947, to Bernice and Thurman Emfinger in New Braunfels, Texas. Thurman was stationed in Japan after World War II. He was killed in a plane crash while serving in Japan when Cheryl was three-years-old.
