Charlotte Schwiening Luna
December 13, 1964 – April 25, 2022
Thursday, May 19, 2022 8:02 AM
Charlotte Schwiening Luna passed from this life on Monday, April 25,2022 at the young age of 57. She leaves behind her daughter, Kimble Lane, husband Cash, and grandson, Bentley. Also her son, Harold Luna, wife, Jordan, and granddaughter, Ryley. In addition she is survived by her sister, Susan Crowder, husband, Jimmy; niece, Janea Crowder Clinger, husband, Bill Clinger. Also nephew, Chris Crowder, plus many cousins and other family.
She was born on December 13,1964 to Harold(Corky) and Patsy Schwiening. They proceeded her in death. As did grandparents, Harold/Elsie Schwiening and Sasman/Gussie Gandre. Her husband, of many years, Roy Luna, also proceeded her death.
At a very young age- Charlotte loved going with her dad to the ranch. She truly was a little ranch girl through and through. Blonde hair and blue eyes, so full of mischief. She loved to ride her horse, Blue, at every opportunity.
Eventually - she was old enough to show her own Angora goats. She was so proud of all her won awards. She also enjoyed playing baseball even with the boys. It was common to see her fielding balls during Little League practice for the Indians. The Indians were coached by her dad and Dr Brown. Even cousin - John Martin was a member of the team. Finally she was able to join a boys and girls team so she could play baseball.
Charlotte hated school from day one. Her father took her in one door and she went out another. She much preferred going to the ranch with him. Her love for the ranch only grew with age. In recent times, she continued to visit the ranch she so loved and had worked so hard to improve.
No doubt, Charlotte was extremely proud of her children, Harold and Kimble, and all their many accomplishments. But most of all, she loved their children, Bentley and Ryley. She developed a very special relationship with Bentley who she simply adored. Charlotte spent much time with him at Kimble’s home because she loved little Bentley so much.
Charlotte’s nature was one of loving someone with her whole heart. She was baptized and confirmed in St John’s Episcopal Church, Sonora. Charlotte was able to provide loving care to her grandmother in her final months. Cooking delicious meals for her as well as her own dad. She was with her grandmother until the minute she passed away.
Charlotte’s memorial service is scheduled for Monday, May 23 ,10:00 AM at the Sonora Cemetery. The Reverend Monte Jones will officiate. In lieu of flowers please considering donating to Amber Lantern, who provided a safe home, as well as supportive care, to Charlotte. The address is as follows:Amber Lantern 110 Brightwood Place San Antonio,Tx 78209.
