Throughout her life, Diana Tabarez, of San Angelo, Texas embraced every opportunity to create something beautiful. Born to Martin Tabarez, Jr. and Maria Lopez in Eldorado, Texas, Diana carried with her a creative spirit that flourished throughout every season of her life.

Whether she was arranging flowers, creating handmade crafts, preparing a meal that brought family together, or discovering a hidden treasure while thrifting, she had a remarkable ability to find beauty in the everyday. That passion eventually blossomed into owning and operating a flower shop in Sonora, Texas, where her artistic touch became part of countless celebrations and cherished moments within the community.

She was never one to remain idle. Diana enjoyed working, casting a fishing line whenever she had the opportunity, and embracing life’s simple pleasures with enthusiasm and gratitude. Yet, of all the roles she treasured, none brought her greater joy than being a mother and grandmother.

Her three children, Crystal Hidalgo (Mario), John Hidalgo, and Joe Mikael Hidalgo (Paulina) and grandchildren, Abcidy, Zaybriella, Analia, Zayla, John, Jr., Iyana and Iraelii were the center of her world, and the love, encouragement, and memories she shared with them became the greatest legacy she leaves behind. The circle of love surrounding her also includes her cherished mother, Maria Lopez, and her beloved, special aunt and uncle, Fernando “Chato” his wife, Josie “Ma” Emiliano who remain grateful for every moment they shared with her. Also, her uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends who were fortunate to share in her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

With the promise of the Resurrection, Diana is reunited with her father, Martin Tabarez, Jr.; grandparents, John & Rita Lopez & her uncle/brother, Mike Lopez and Pete Lopez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North., 1002 North Oakes Street. The evening will conclude with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North.

Though flowers eventually complete their season, the love Diana cultivated throughout her life will continue to bloom through every story shared, every tradition remembered, and every life she so beautifully touched.

The memories belong to Diana’s family. The legacy belongs to everyone whose life she touched. Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North will help preserve both. Arrangements have been confidently entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North by the Hidalgo/Lopez family.
