Gloria J. Miears, formerly of Sonora, passed away surrounded by loving family in Fort Worth, TX on April 6, 2023.Graveside Services were held in Sonora Cemetery on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
Gloria was born January 31, 1941 in Oakland, California to Joseph and Myrtle Bisauta. She relocated to Texas in the late 1970’s. Later, she met the love of her life Royce Miears of Sonora. They were wed May 15, 1980 and remained side by side until his passing in 2018.
Throughout her life, Gloria has lived in California, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. She loved to travel and has also taken many trips all over the world with family and friends. Family time was very important to her and she kept her friends very dear to her heart. Her favorite things included Bunco, Taco Tuesday, ‘Spooky’ movies as she called them, and her dogs.
Gloria is survived by her son Bryce Matthews of San Antonio, granddaughter Danielle Jenkins & husband Michael of Mesa, Arizona, and step-sister Sherry Welcome of Pacheco, California.
