Upon having their son, Jay Hudson, in 1998 they returned home to Sonora in 1999 and started their own company, Hudson Technology Consulting, Inc. In 2014 an opportunity to work for Baker Hughes presented itself and off he went to Snyder, Texas to work as an E-Tech. When the oil field went down, after some travel, he returned to San Angelo, Texas where he retired.
Craig and his son Jay enjoyed many an afternoon fishing at the lakes in San Angelo. He had a unique way of looking at life and a slightly off beat sense of humor. He loved his Harley motorcycle and was teaching Jay how to ride.

He is survived by his ex-wife Joan Schrier Hudson; his son Jay Stuart Hudson; his niece Lea Ann Hudson and his cousins Nick Nicholson, Vicki Nicholson Maddy, and Selma Nell Stubblefield Glasscock and many dear friends he made over the years.
