Sonora and Sutton are in the home stretch getting ready for Sutton County Days and the Sonora Outlaw Rodeo. The events are scheduled for this weekend Friday, August 12th and Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Sonora is once again preparing for the Sonora Outlaw Rodeo and Sutton County Days which will be held at the Sutton County Fair Grounds.

This camp was all about learning how we explore other planets in our solar system. Students will prototype their own shoebox rover using household materials to complete their mission objectives.

Months of below-average precipitation and above-average temperature have driven the area of the state impacted by drought to its largest value since July 2013. A modest increase in drought next week will result in the largest extent of drought since January 2012. We are seeing these effects in Sutton County.
