The Annual Downtown Community Christmas was held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. The day began with food and activities on Main Street at 5:30 p.m.

For the second consecutive year, the Sonora Broncos 11-1, 4-1, defeated the Farwell Steers in the Area playoff round of 2A Div 1 football. The Bronco defense played lights out the majority of the game and keyed on Farwell’s rushing attack, which this season consisted of Corey Stancell and quarterback Jonathan Armstrong. The Broncos limited Stancell to 31 yards on six carries and one touchdown. Armstrong had to run for his life most of the second half of the game and gained 65 yards. Farewell, Farwell.
